About

My name is Zachary Andrew Cain.

I was baptized into the Holy Orthodox Church on St. George’s Day of 2016. My parents raised me in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church until I was about the age of 9 or 10. After my parents divorce, my mother took me to an Assembly of God Church, which I attended until college. After doing some research in Church history, I decided that I could not be Protestant anymore. After a few years of prayer and study, I joined the Orthodox Church: the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

I am a senior at the Ohio State University. I study English Literature as my major focus and Russian as my minor. My interests are philosophy, theology, literature, politics, and culture (broad, I know). I expect write about all of these subjects here, but I will focus primarily on theology and literature. I am currently working on my undergraduate thesis on the Renaissance poet John Milton.

I plan to use this blog to work out my own ideas. It is not meant  to be scholarly, but I would greatly appreciate any constructive criticism concerning my rhetoric, ideas, etc.
